Smallspark Space Systems has been awarded the UK Space Agency Glyndwr Innovations Prize by The OpTIC Centre in North Wales, along with £10,000 funding to further develop its business.
The award acts as a major validator for the companies long term vision of Reigniting UK Space and bringing the capability to launch from UK shores. The company, now 3 months old, founded by Cardiff University Graduate Joseph Ward, was able to lay out a strong, concise argument for its proposed business and technology development strategy.
Its amazing to be given this award so early in our development, and acts as a phenomenally strong validator for our future plans.. The UK Space Agency does phenomenal work in supporting early stage businesses, and we will use this to help us go on to do great things.
